Christmas Book Project Helps Kids in Need.

The 2017 Christmas season marks the 16th year since Children’s Home Society (CHS) began partnering with Tom Roberts to produce his stories ‘Twas The Night Before Christ, Santa’s Prayer, The Little Lost Sock, Return to The Farm – A Christmas Journey and his newest book, The Greatest Gift – The Wise Ones’ Journey.

CHS is grateful for all of the support and donations of time and talents from author, Tom Roberts, our illustrators and our generous sponsors.  Because of their support, 100% of every book purchased goes to support the CHS mission and the families that we serve.

Since 2002, over 53,000 books have been sold and a net total of over $1,169,000 has been raised from sponsorships and book sales!

We also appreciate the continued support from our regional media partners including; KELO TV, Midco, Midwest Communications, and so many others.

In addition to our media partners, we are very thankful for the retailers, schools, service organizations, churches, and businesses throughout South Dakota who help sell our books and who help raise awareness of the work being done at CHS.  A special thank you to everyone who purchases our books—CHS could not do what we do without so many great friends!

Established in 1893, CHILDREN’S HOME SOCIETY (CHS) is South Dakota’s oldest human services, non-profit organization, with a mission to protect, support and enhance the lives of children and families.  CHS provides emergency shelter, residential treatment and special education, forensic interviews, foster care and adoption services, and prevention services. In addition to serving victims of child abuse and domestic violence, CHS also partners with caring parents to help any child with emotional or behavioral problems.
