of South Dakota serves over 2,000
children each year, primarily ages 4-13, through residential
treatment, education, forensic interview and
exam centers, foster care & adoption services, and prevention services. The majority of these
children are victims of severe abuse or neglect. Emergency
shelter and related services are provided for women and children
who are victims of domestic violence.
Children's Home Society is accredited by the Joint Commission. CHS is also licensed by the South Dakota Department of Social Services.
