SUPPORT GROUPS FOR CHILDREN
Children’s Inn
provides SAK (Safe, Assertive Kids) support groups for children. These groups focus on children who
have experienced domestic violence, or child abuse & neglect. These groups are designed for
children Kindergarten-5th Grade.
Groups
are fun and informative. A
variety of topics are covered which may
include:

Recognizing feelings
-
Making
positive choices
- Anger
management
- Personal safety
-
Loss, separation,
and grief
Groups
are held four times each year at various public schools in the Sioux Falls
school district.
All
groups are free of charge.
Pre-registration is required by calling Children’s Inn at
338-0116.

What Is Domestic Violence?
Domestic violence is a pattern of controlling behavior
that may include physical, sexual, economic, emotional, and psychological
abuse of one family member or intimate partner by another. The goal of domestic violence is
to establish and maintain power and control.
