GIFTS

Children’s Home Foundation (CHF) provides operational support, building funds, endowment security, and community awareness and education for Children’s Home Society.  Program sites include Black Hills Children's Home, Sioux Falls Children's Home and Children's Inn.

Support for the work and programs of Children’s Home Society is welcomed, needed, and very appreciated.  There are a variety of ways to offer financial support:

• CURRENT CAMPAIGNS

• UNRESTRICTED GIFTS
  Unrestricted gifts supplement basic needs for those served, and helps to improve, maintain, and operate facilities at Black Hills Children’s Home, Sioux Falls Children’s Home, and Children’s Inn.  These gifts are a vital source of support for general operations.
• RESTRICTED GIFTS
  Restricted gifts are gifts that are directed to purchase a specific item or service, or to be used for a designated purpose.  These gifts also include donations given for special building projects or campaigns.
• ENDOWMENT GIFTS
  One of the long-term goals of Children’s Home Foundation is to steadily work to build an endowment fund.  The earnings from this fund will eventually provide significant operational support for Children’s Home Society.  This is a pro-active plan to provide long-term security, and to guard against the uncertainties and ever-changing reliability of government funding sources.
• GIFTS-IN-KIND
  Gifts-in-kind are goods and services given to Children’s Home Society.  Past gifts of this kind have included carpet cleaning, printed materials for special events, gifts of food, towels, bedding, a video production, Christmas gifts, and items for silent auction packages.
• HONOR GIFTS
  Honor gifts are given in gratitude, in tribute, or in celebration of family members, friends, birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, special occasions, or relationships.  Honor card packets are available for the donor to give to the person(s) being honored.
• MEMORIAL GIFTS
  Memorial gifts are given in memory of a deceased family member or friend.  Memorial card packets are available for the donor to use or send to family members of the deceased.
