    This story begins with you.

In the Fall of 2007, CHS launched a new Holiday giving program called "The Little Red Stocking" resurrecting a time in history when school children would gather coins in stockings and give to orphaned children at Christmas time. Through the revival of this nostalgic idea, CHS will use "The Little Red Stocking" in its annual Holiday appeal for operational support.

For the children we serve, that means physical safety, food and shelter--and loving attention from people who truly care. "The Little Red Stocking" proceeds help ensure that our children's essential needs are met, today and tomorrow.

How can you help? By giving to The Little Red Stocking fund. Your gift will help 2,000 children a year through residential treatment, education, emergency shelter, forensic interview and examination centers, foster care, adoption service and relative placements. The majority of these children are victims of severe abuse and neglect.

In this first year, many businesses, organizations, and churches partnered with CHS to raise funds by creating internal fund raising events. We thank them for their efforts!! If you wish to be a 2008 Little Red Stocking Partner, please contact:
